- A South African citizen
- Studying or preparing to study towards an IT related degree in one of the fields mentioned previously (Bachelors, Honours, Masters or Doctorate)
- Have a minimum overall academic average of 70%
- Have a passionate about creating and building software
- Skilled in terms of written & verbal communication
- Clear credit and criminal record

Once students have graduated, they will also be able to take up permanent employment at BBD.
