Warm up your vocal chords and prepare to be heard. Auditions for The Voice SA are almost here and will take place across the country, in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
You can get a fast-track on the queue by submitting a YouTube link of yourself performing.
You can submit your video here: The Voice.
The production team will contact you if you’ve been fast-tracked.
If you haven’t been fast-tracked you can still audition at the venues on the day.
The closing date for YouTube applications are:
- Monday, 12 October: for anyone auditioning in Cape Town.
- Monday, 19 October: for anyone auditioning in Durban.
- Monday, 26 October: for anyone auditioning in Johannesburg.
Whether or not you choose to submit a video, and even if your video is not approved, you may still attend the public auditions, which will take place at the following venues:
Cape Town: Newlands Rugby Stadium, 17 - 18 Oct
Durban: Kings Park Sharks Rugby Stadium, 24 - 25 Oct
Johannesburg: Marks Park, 31 Oct - 1 Nov
What can you win?
The overall prize package hasn’t been confirmed yet but it will definitely include a recording contract from Universal Music.
Who is the show looking for?- Singers of any genre.
- Singers with an amazing Voice.
You can go all out for your audition video; just remember that the most important thing about The Voice is your voice, so if you only upload the audio, that's what counts most.
Once you submit your video you can expect a response message from The Voice panel.
Remember that entries will be open to all South African citizens older than 18 years and that there's no upper age cut-off. You should also know that The Voice encompasses a wide variety of music genres.
Get rehearsing and good luck. We look forward to hearing your voices!
The Voice SA is coming to M-Net in 2016.
